Sailed by one.

The simplest Olympic sailboat.

Made of fibreglass in five factories worldwide.

185000 have been built to the same specifications.

It's a boat that is easy to sail, yet difficult to sail well.

When the Laser was introduced to the world at the 1971 New York Boat Show, it carried with it a strict set of one-design rules covering equipment as well as the hull and rig. Being a one-design class, the Laser has the philosophy that the sailor wins the race, not the boat.

Probably most people who have ever sailed a boat have sailed a Laser.
